Service Changes Effective
January 10, 2010 for Route 3, 4, 14, 18, 19, 24, X1A, 34, 41, and 66 |
Routes 3 and 4: Routes 3 and 4 will combine into one route on the west end. The Route 3 to Townview will now be served by Route 4 seven days a week. It will travel the current Route 4 to Hoover and Delphos, continuing on Hoover to Summit Square, then to Guenther Loop, and to Westown Shopping Center for a layover.
Inbound routing will continue to Summit Square to Guenther and back to Delphos on Hoover, then continue inbound on current Route 4. After 6:30 p.m. and on Sundays, the inbound routing will leave the Westown Transit Center travel north on Elmhurst, left on Oakridge, right on Whitmore, right on Hoover, right on Delphos and continue current Route 4 routing.
Weekday frequencies will change to 25 minutes during peak times and 35 minutes otherwise. Saturday daytime frequencies will change to 45 minutes with frequencies remaining at 70 minutes on nights and Sundays.
Route 3 East will operate to Eastown Transit Center three trips per weekday. The midday trip from Wright Stop Plaza will shift five minutes earlier and evening trip from Wright Stop Plaza will shift 13 minutes earlier. The morning inbound trip will shift 8 minutes later and the midday trip will shift 10 minutes earlier.
Route 14 – Weekday trips leaving the Northwest Transit Center between
7:28 a.m. and 12:57 p.m. will run 1 minute earlier to Salem and Riverview.
Route 18 – New southbound routing on Ludlow between Washington and Patterson will serve the new Miami Valley Hospital outpatient facility at the former Medworks location on Ludlow. The weekday trip at 6:19 p.m. leaving Meijer to downtown will shift 6 minutes later.
Route 19 – Two weekday trips will change to serve Kaplan College at 4:31 p.m. southbound and 5:25 p.m. northbound. Trip times will shift slightly on those trips.
Route 24 – Weekday times will adjust slightly between Genesee and Denlinger and Free Pike northbound. Saturday trips will change to serve the Gateway Shelter on Gettysburg at 8 and 9:13 a.m. northbound and 12:03 and 4:07 p.m. southbound. Sunday times will serve Gateway at 7:20 and 8:30 a.m. northbound and 12:18 and 4:04 p.m. southbound. Northbound times will adjust 1 to 3 minutes on Sundays between Denlinger and Free Pike and Meijer and S.R. 48.
Route X1A – Routing will change to serve Building 22 on Littrell Rd.
Route 34 – The weekday 4:09 p.m. trip leaving Miller and Maxton will change to 4:46 p.m. to serve the new Miami Valley Career Technical Center’s Adult Education Facility on Hoke Rd. Several evening trips will adjust by 3 to 5 minutes to accommodate this deviation.
Route 41 – Times will shift on the 5:09 p.m. trip from Wright Stop Plaza and a deviation to Montgomery County Court House will be removed on the outbound trip. This trip will also deviate into Westown Transit Center.
Route 66 – Routing will change to serve Wright Stop Plaza and the Life Enrichment Center on Findlay St. Routing will also change to serve Wilmington, Wayne, Keowee, First, and Stanley instead of Stewart, Brown, Apple, Main, and Longworth. Times will adjust slightly.
County Routes -- A 6:50 a.m. lineup will be added on Saturday
for routes in service at that time.

Service Changes Effective
October 21, 2009 for Route 22 and Route 24

Route 22 - Weekday trips to Richley Ave. and Randolph St. stop near Dunbar High School are eliminated. The 7:40 a.m., 8:13 a.m., 11:27 a.m., 12:24 p.m., 4:06 p.m. and 4:41 p.m. Wright Stop Plaza departing trips will now serve the Gateway Shelter only.
Route 24 -
The Route 24 will also now serve the Gateway Shelter on two weekday trips southbound at 9:16 a.m. and 2:28 p.m. The trips will leave Meijer on Route 48 at 8:42 a.m. and 1:52 p.m. and arrive via the Westown Transit Center at 9:09 a.m. and 2:21 p.m. The arrival times at the South Transit Center will remain the same for both of these trips. The northbound trips will depart from the South Transit Center at 8:36 a.m. and 2:39 p.m. and arrive at the Gateway Shelter at 9:16 a.m. and 3:14 p.m |
Service Changes Effective October 19, 2009
for Route 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, and Route 17

Route 2 - A weekday trip from Wright Stop Plaza Transit Center is shifted one minute earlier. The 6:59 a.m. trip from the Northwest Transit Center will leave at 6:58 a.m. and arrive at the Eastown Transit Center at 8:02 a.m.
Route 7 - All weekday trip times southbound from Main St. at Philadelphia St. will change up to three minutes from 6:38 a.m. to 9:56 a.m. Weekday trips from 6:07 a.m. to 10:33 a.m. northbound from Patterson Blvd. and Woodman Rd. to Philadelphia St. will change up to three minutes (some trip times will not shift).
Route 8 - All weekday times for the 7:46 a.m. southbound and the 8:41 a.m. northbound trips from Wright Stop Plaza will shift two minutes later.
Route 9 -
The weekday trip from Wright Stop Plaza southbound at 6:39 a.m. will move forward two minutes to 6:41 a.m. and the trip will leave the Northwest Transit Center at 6:05 a.m. The northbound 7:22 a.m. and 8:14 a.m. Wright Stop Plaza trips will depart from the Westown Transit Center at 6:41 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
Route 11 - A weekday 6:08 p.m. southbound trip is added to Wright Patterson Air Force Base Area 1B. The 5:28 p.m. WPAFB northbound trip to Area 1B is eliminated.
Route 14 - Southbound trips from the Northwest Transit Center downtown at 7:03 a.m. and 7:32 a.m. will leave at 6:59 a.m. and 7:28 a.m. All trip times will shift up to four minutes earlier (some trip times will not shift).
Route 16 -
The southbound 7:20 a.m. trip leaving Wright Stop Plaza is changed up to 5 minutes and will arrive at Alter High School at 7:54 a.m. (some trip times will not shift). Weekday southbound trips from the Wright Stop Plaza at 4:11 p.m., 4:35 p.m., 4:57 p.m., and 5:12 p.m. will arrive at Hewitt Ave. and Kentshire Dr. at 5:09 p.m., 5:33 p.m., 5:49 p.m., and 6:10 p.m. Northbound trips will leave Hewitt and Kentshire at 5:15 p.m., 5:39 p.m., and 6:16 p.m. and will arrive at Wright Stop Plaza at 5:50 p.m., 6:15 p.m., and 6:50 p.m. Northbound trips from Wright
Stop Plaza at 2:20 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. will arrive at Smith St. and Hoke Rd. at 3:10 p.m. and 4:16 p.m.
Route 17 - The weekday southbound trip from Vandalia arriving at Wright Stop Plaza at 6:41 a.m. is shifted two minutes earlier to 6:39 a.m. and the northbound trip from Wright Stop Plaza at 5:06 a.m. is shifted two minutes earlier to 5:04 a.m. |
RTA service changes begin August 16, 2009 |
Routings changed in Downtown Dayton to serve the new Wright Stop Plaza and trip times shifted to accommodate the new routings on all downtown routes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, X1A, X1B, X5, 40, 41, 42) See downtown map. Other changes on individual routes are stated below.
Route 1 – Weekday trip from 513a-606a from 3rd/Main to WSU and return trip was eliminated as well as the 610p-703p to Iona and return trip. Saturday frequencies changed from 30 to 40 minutes. Saturday trip from 516a-610a from 3rd/Main to WSU and return trip was eliminated.
Route 4 – Weekday trips from 507a-547a and 612p-700p from 3rd/Main to East Hub and return trips were eliminated. Saturday trip from 455a-540a from 3rd/Main to East Hub and return trip was eliminated.
Route 12 – Weekday peak frequencies (6-9am/3-630pm) changed from 23/25 to 28/30 minutes. Weekday trip from 534p-653p from Main/3rd to Woodman Center and return trip was eliminated. The Saturday trips from 425a-520a from Main/3rd to Benson and the 440a-540a from Main/3rd to Woodman Center and return trips were eliminated.
Route 18 – Night trips (630pm-1230am) shifted and frequency changed from 90 to 95 minutes for better connections and on-time performance. Weekend day frequencies changed from 90 to 100 minutes for better connections and on-time performance.
Route 19 – Night trips (630pm-1230am) shifted and frequency changed from 90 to 95 minutes for better connections and on-time performance. Weekend day frequencies changed from 90 to 100 minutes for better connections and on-time performance. Several weekday trips will deviate to Kaplan University when it begins operation on River Road scheduled for September. Routing changed inbound from E.C. Moses to right on Germantown, 5th, left on Main to Wright Stop Plaza. Outbound routing changed from Wright Stop Plaza to south on Main, right on 4th, to E.C. Moses.
Route X5 – Night trips deviated to Newmark Dr from SR741, and then to Hunt Dr, Arboridge Ln, Miami Village Dr, SR741, Lyons Rd to South Hub. The weekday a.m. peak frequencies (6-9am) changed from 30 to 60 minutes. The weekday 515p trip from Main/3rd was eliminated. The a.m. trip to Met Life was adjusted to arrive at 807a.
Route 32 - Service was eliminated.
Route 34 – Weekday trips from 1048p-1158p from NW hub to Miller to Westbrook eliminated as well as the 1038p-1131p trips from Miller to Westbrook.
Route 61– Weekday service from 613a-719a from South hub to Miami Village and return trip was eliminated. All trips after 630pm were eliminated and X5 will serve Newmark from SR741, Hunt, Arboridge, Miami Village, SR741, Lyons to South Hub.
SCOT - Senior Citizens on the Town service was eliminated.
LS Service – The Meadowdale trips serving Valley St, the Thurgood Marshall trips seving Riverdale/Keowee and the Dunbar trips serving Lexington have been eliminated for the 2009-10 school year.
